Recording
Records continuously in loops, overwriting the oldest footage. Events detected by the G-sensor are locked so they aren’t overwritten. HDR helps balance bright skies and dark shadows, and GPS adds speed and location to your footage.
Parking mode
With the HK4 hardwire kit, the A229 Pro offers Auto Event Detection with buffered recording (capturing moments before an event), Time-lapse and Low Bitrate modes. We configure the mode and the kit’s low-voltage cut-off to suit how you use the vehicle.
Storage
Supports microSD cards up to 512 GB. A card isn’t included in the box. Dashcams write constantly, so a high-endurance card is strongly recommended. [CONFIRM: card you supply / recommend]
Installation
We mount the front camera behind the mirror, hide the cabling in the headlining and trims, route the rear camera cable to the back of the vehicle and hardwire at the fuse box. Then we set up the app and check the footage with you.
Compatibility notes
Suits most cars, SUVs, utes and vans. Vehicles with heavily tinted rear glass, canopies or no rear window may suit the waterproof exterior rear camera (Pro-W) instead. Windscreens with large sensor housings can affect mounting position. We’ll check your vehicle when quoting.
What’s included
Box contents vary by kit and configuration. [CONFIRM WHAT’S INCLUDED IN THE KIT YOU SUPPLY – e.g. cameras, mounts, cables, CPL filter, hardwire kit, microSD card]

A229 Pro questions
Does the A229 Pro need a hardwire kit?
It can run from the supplied power cable, but parking mode requires the VIOFO HK4 hardwire kit. We install it at the fuse box so there’s no cable to the accessory socket.
Which configuration should I choose?
Front only suits most drivers on a budget. Front and rear covers rear-end incidents. The 3-channel version adds an interior camera, popular with rideshare drivers. We’ll help you decide based on your vehicle and driving.
Will it fit my vehicle?
In most cases, yes. Some vehicles suit an exterior rear camera better, and windscreen sensor housings can affect mounting. Send us your make, model and year.
Can I view footage on my phone?
Yes, through the VIOFO app over Wi-Fi. We set it up with you during installation.
