Apple CarPlay & Android Auto
Maps, music, calls and messages on your dash – through an aftermarket head unit or, for some vehicles, an interface that keeps the factory screen.
Two ways to add CarPlay
Replace the head unit. An aftermarket unit with CarPlay and Android Auto, fitted with a dash kit made for your vehicle so it looks like it belongs there.
Keep the factory screen. Some vehicles can take a retrofit interface that adds CarPlay to the original screen. It keeps the factory look but isn’t available for every model.
Which suits you depends on your vehicle and what’s built into the existing system. We’ll explain the options for your car before quoting.

Know what you keep
Some vehicles build climate control, vehicle settings or premium audio into the factory screen. Replacing it isn’t always the right call. We’ll tell you what you’d keep and what you’d lose before you decide.

Common questions
Wired or wireless – which is better?
Wireless is convenient for short trips; wired keeps your phone charging and connects instantly. Many units support both, so you can choose day to day.
Will my steering wheel controls still work?
In most vehicles, yes, using a steering wheel control interface. We confirm availability for your exact model when quoting.
Can I keep my factory screen?
For some vehicles there are interfaces that add CarPlay to the original screen. Availability varies by make, model and year.
Will it affect my new-car warranty?
Fitting accessories doesn’t automatically void a new-car warranty in Australia, but a manufacturer may decline a claim for a fault caused by an accessory or its installation. If you’re unsure, check with your dealer.
